Miss it?

I was never much of a bread lover but I was missing sandwiches. Those I like.

But low and behold there is bread that you can eat on Keto!

Basically to make bread keto friendly they up the fiber to zero out the carbs. There is an up and down side to this. First, these breads are not gluten free in case that is important to you. These breads would fall into what some call the dirty keto category. Secondly, they are all dry. Some more than others. Third, well, how can I put this delicately, because of the high fiber, it can mess with your pooping. Well that wasn't so delicate but you should be forewarned.

We've tried a number of the options out there and here is a list of the ones we've tried. Hopefully this list will save you some time and money.

1) Natural Ovens Keto-Friendly Bread. This one is our favorite! We get it at Costco but if you don't have a membership you can buy them online as well directly from Natural Ovens. They also make a hamburger bun however, Costco doesn't carry them so we've been buying them directly from Natural Ovens. This bread is a bit dry but less than the others. I prefer it grilled, like a grilled cheese. You don't notice the dryness then as much.

2) Thin Slim Foods Zero Net Carb Bread. Thin Slim makes a number of keto friendly products. However, we did not like the sliced bread. It was very dry. They make bagels and hot dog buns however that were ok. They also have a garlic roll that wasn't too bad.

3) Loven Fresh Zero Net Carbs Wheat Bread. This is sold at Aldi. We did not like this bread. It was very, very dry.

4) Julian Bakery makes some gluten free, low carb bread (usually around 1 net carb) but we haven't tried these. We do eat and like the crackers from Julian Bakery. I'll tell you though that the crackers are substantial and I would bet the bread would be as well.

5) There was another bread that we tried early on that was gluten free and was comprised of mainly cheese and egg. I really, really didn't like that one either. So much so that I couldn't even tell you what the brand was. I believe I bought it from an ad that ran across my Facebook feed. This one, might have been the Keto Thin Bread from Julian Bakery. But I can't be sure.
