Weight vs. Size

Terry and I have been doing our low carb keto thing for a year now. I have lost 27 lbs. Terry has lost 75 lbs.!!! However, if you look at my weight loss strictly in lbs., I haven't lost anything since July! But I have lost inches, or the best way for me to measure it since I didn't do measurements to begin with is how my clothes fit. Or should I say how my clothes no longer fit.
I hate shopping and with a pandemic on I'm sure not going out to stores. But I had to break down and buy some new clothes as nothing I owned fit. If I bounced up and down or tried to run, my pants would fall off. Not a good idea.
My tops were all so big they just hung on me. My bras were so big that, not to over share, but let's just say the girls weren't staying in place because the bras were so loose. I was wearing size 14 - 16 pants, XL tops, and a 38D bra.
I discovered Amazon Wardrobe, a nifty service that certain brands offer on Amazon. You pick out up to 8 items, Amazon ships them to you and you have 7 days to try the items on and send back what you don't want. And you only pay for the ones you keep. So, I ordered some jeans and much to my surprise I now wear a size 8 again! I ordered a t-shirt from Kohl's and at first I bought a large. Still too big. So I went down to a medium. And It's fine but I could have probably gone with a small. Blows my mind.
Terry on the other hand, he has tracked his measurements from the beginning. He has lost a total of 20 inches and 75 lbs. He too has had to redo his wardrobe. He was wearing 2XL and 3XL tops and now wears a large! He was wearing 42" waist jeans but he's gone back down to a 34!
So don't just track lbs. lost! Eating low carb really does change your body in ways that strictly losing weight doesn't tend to! And don't get discouraged if the scale isn't moving.
